The Demon Wielder Series

“The day I met you in the Armory felt like I was meeting the rest of my life, so don’t ever think I didn’t have a choice, Reina. Every moment we were together, you were a choice I made. I chose you that night on the beach. I chose you those nights in the woods, and I’d choose you every day after this.”
Prince Farran MacLaine

The Demon Wielder Series is an NA Dark Fantasy Romance series about Reina Sangrey. Reina only has one way to pay her debt and ensure her brother’s release: survive and serve on the Queensguard to whatever end. Reina becomes the greatest weapon the Crown has ever had and they’ll stop at nothing to contain her.
Currently, two books are published: The Emerald Dawn and Sapphire Noon. The original series is intended to be four full length books with two additional novellas. Expected publication of the third book in the series is late summer of 2026.

“I knew who I was and traitors died alone.”

“If I truly wanted to serve the queen, I’d only have to cut my throat.”
After her mother’s execution, ten-year-old Reina Sangrey begged Damien Arden—a wealthy, charming, criminally-minded aristocrat—for refuge. The terms to repay her debt, ensuring her and her brother’s safety, were simple: survive the Armory, and rise to the Queensguard.
At twenty-four, Reina is initiated into Thera’s Armory, just as duty, and destiny required. On the eve of her first trial, her true gift reveals itself . . . and it is anything but ordinary. A once-in-a-century power emerges: something worth more than dragons or griffons—even more than a prince. Reina is the demon wielder, a prophecy of war promised to the Crown.
Years as Arden’s viper, training as an assassin in the shadows, hadn’t prepared her to be the greatest weapon the Crown had ever seen. Nor did it exclude her from the deadly Armory trials where fewer than half of the first-years would survive. No longer disposable, and overwhelmed with power, Reina has to learn how to control her demons with the unwelcome help of Prince Farran and his own rare gift. Despite her strong will, Reina finds herself drawn to the brooding prince, but it couldn’t matter.
Surviving the Armory was her purpose, killing the queen was her destiny, and there wasn’t anything in the realm that could change her course.
Reina was born a traitor, and traitors die alone.
“Viper. Soldier. Princess. Queen: No one could be all of those and live.”

“Farran deserved to spend his life with someone who was easy to love and deserving of it; two things I clearly wasn’t.”
Obligated by blood oath and the threat of war, Reina Sangrey returns to the Armory to continue her trials. There she’s burdened both by her destiny to end the Theranian Queen, and the Crown of a dead kingdom she was born to wear.
More than just a soldier, Queen Claudia makes it clear Reina will belong to Thera’s Crown as their weapon and princess unless she can find a way out that isn’t death.
Reina is reckless and broken, brutal and unforgiving: She will never be worthy of a kingdom or a prince. She will do anything it takes to end her betrothal, survive the Armory, rise to the Queensguard, and kill the Queen. The gods gifted her the power of the dreosen—the demon wielder—and they should be afraid.
There is no other future she’ll consider—all traitors die alone.
